Description

This workshop is about your canvas and what you plan to do with it once it’s stitched. We’ll discuss what makes this canvas grab your attention and how to bring those elements out with stitch and thread suggestions.

Also in the workshop, we will discuss how to analyze a canvas and how to enhance the artwork of the painter that created the canvas and what inspires that artist. Some designers are just painters and some are both stitchers and canvas designers.

Class length will be about two hours, with a class size of 8. Each person will receive roughly 15 minutes focused on their canvas(es). Email a photo of your canvas(es) to Dale in advance so that he can prepare recommendations on your canvas(es). One of the nice features of this format is that as Dale discusses each canvas the other attendees will have the opportunity to hear ideas that may apply to other canvases they may have.

Here’s what a participant in the previous class had to say: “Loved everything about the class. I liked seeing other canvases and hearing your thoughts about each one. It was clear that you had given a lot of thought to each person’s canvas. You exceeded my expectations and I’d love to do it again.” — D.D.

Class will be held online over Zoom. No refunds if you are unable to attend since the class has limited enrollment.

IMPORTANT: Once you’ve registered, please email photos of your project(s) to Dale at dj@designsdj.com
